Hey, I'm Teemu 👋

Over the years, I've gained a wealth of experiences from studying at two universities and working in more roles than I can count on one hand . Currently, I'm focused on advancing my computer science studies while building personal projects that fuel my passion for development.

As a developer, I enjoy diving straight into the heart of programming. Lately, I've been dedicating more attention to modularity and responsiveness in my projects, aiming to make them both efficient and user-friendly. I'm also eager to expand my skills in machine learning and cybersecurity, gradually incorporating them into my schedule. If you're wondering about the "¾-stack developer" on the landing page—it's my way of saying I'm on the journey to becoming a full-stack developer. Not quite there yet, but I'm getting closer every day.

Work experience 👨‍💼

I was born pretty young 👶. After growing up a bit (11 years), I started my first business, which was an ice-cream shop🍦. The business was booming, but I decided to retire at the ripe age of 15 (currently, the ice cream bar is run by my little sister). In high school, me and a few friends started a clothing brand 👕, but we gave up on it due to lack of motivation and time 🕒. Between high school and university, I worked as a delivery driver 🚚 for a logistics company. After my first year in university, I got hired for a summer job by Telia. I worked as a technical specialist, fixing problems related to mostly broadband connections 🔧. After the second year of university studies, Twoday hired me as a software developer 💻. At Twoday, I have worked for two summers, plus a few miscellaneous part-time projects.

Education 👨‍🎓

After primary school I went to a local high school where I focused on STEM-subjects. I graduated on time with good marks. As soon as possible I started my computer science degree at the University of Lappeenranta (LUT). My main focus was on software engineering and I did quite well in my studies, achieving an above 4.1 GPA after my second year. After my second year I decided to transfer universities, and from my third year on I have studied computer science at the University of Tampere (TUNI), with the main focus still on software engineering.

User manual 📙

I created a playbook on how to work with me. It includes some of my strengths, weaknesses, principles and other neat stuff!.

Other neat stuff

I have participated in multiple hackathons (Junction, Finnish Game Jam etc.) and have even managed to win one in high school. I have also been active in organizations. I was a part of Jyväskylä's youth council, have been leading boy scout groups, and lately I was the vice president of the overalls team for our guild.
